It’s Photo Fun Fact Friday!

The term “selfie” is a term that we became familiar with back in 2002 by millennials but self portraits have been around for centuries. According to the Library of Congress, the first self portrait taken in the U.S. was in 1889 by a man named Robert Cornelius.

And in 1966, Buzz Aldrin took a self portrait in space while he was on the Gemini 12 mission.
